Medical Review Officer & Fitness for Duty Services
Defensible determinations. Consistent oversight. Built for safety-sensitive industries.
The U.S. nuclear energy industry is highly regulated, and these regulations are in place to ensure the safety of workers and the community.
Our physicians provide MRO and FFD services for employers operating under strict regulatory expectations, including nuclear utilities nationwide. We work directly with employers, laboratories, and regulatory partners to ensure results are reviewed accurately, fairly, and in full compliance.
Our services include:
- Independent review and verification of drug and alcohol test results
- Fitness-for-Duty evaluations and determinations
- Compliance with 10 CFR Part 26 and other applicable requirements
- Coordination with utilities, laboratories, and collection sites
- Timely, consistent, and defensible medical determinations
- Support during audits, investigations, and regulatory reviews

Why MRO & Fitness-for-Duty Oversight Matters
Fitness-for-duty decisions in safety-sensitive settings have major regulatory, operational, and human implications. We prioritize accurate, consistent, and fair assessments to ensure safety and protect both employers and employees with medically sound, compliant evaluations.
Our physicians bring extensive regulatory experience and a disciplined, consistent approach to every determination. The result is reliable, defensible oversight that supports compliance, operational continuity, and worker fairness.

Occupational Health Team

Our Medical Review Officers are supported by a dedicated MRO operations support team trained in nuclear Fitness-for-Duty (FFD) requirements, regulatory documentation, and secure case coordination.
Under the MRO’s direct supervision, the team supports FFD case tracking, drug and alcohol result workflows, coordination with laboratories and utilities and regulatory management to ensure compliance across multiple sites.
